Event Description

Kwanzaa is a seven-day cultural celebration that was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966. The celebration takes place each year on December 26 through January 1 and is celebrated by African American families and friends as a way to reaffirm their heritage and culture and their bonds to one another as a community. The MSHBH museum set aside one day during the period to invite the community and special guests to the museum to explore the history of Kwanzaa, the seven principles and to
