On October 27th the Nation will celebrate  "MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY."

It  is an annual event and the largest national day of community service in which our volunteers will join millions of volunteers across the Nation in improving the lives of others.

The Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum is looking for a few good women and men to participate in Make a Difference Day 2018.

The renovation of the SHOTGUN HOUSE in Pettis Park is the project the Museum will adopt.  The activities will include the following:

  • Power wash and paint the fence around the premises.
  • Repair the handicap ramp.
  • Landscape improvements.
  • General clean up.

The equipment and materials will be provided.

If you are able and willing to volunteer for any part of the day on October 27, 2018, please call the Museum at 386-478-1934 and confirm your participation.  Work will begin at 9 am.  Thanks for your support.
